Who runs this site
BlueMail News is an independent publication about the BlueMail email app, written by people who use it. It is not operated by BlueMail, and this policy covers only this website. The app has its own privacy policy atbluemail.me/privacy, which governs the app and says nothing about this site.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to count page views and see which articles people read. It tells us how many visitors arrived, which pages they opened, roughly which country they came from and which site linked them here. We do not use it for advertising, we have not enabled Google Signals or ad personalisation, and we do not combine it with anything else.
In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland it is off unless you turn it on. No analytics cookies are written and no identifier is created until you choose Accept. If you decline, or simply ignore the banner, the tag stays switched off. Elsewhere it is on by default and you can switch it off below. Either way you can change your mind at any time.
Google acts as our processor and may process the data outside your country, including in the United States. Google receives your IP address as part of the request, as any web server does; Google Analytics 4 does not log or store it, and uses it only to derive an approximate location before discarding it.
Cookies and local storage
Nothing here is used to identify you personally or shared with anyone.
_gaand_ga_*— Google Analytics, to tell one visit from the next. Written only after you accept. Expire after two years.consent:analytics— remembers your answer to the banner so you are not asked twice. Stored in your browser, never sent anywhere.theme— remembers whether you chose light or dark. Stored in your browser, never sent anywhere.
Your choice
Change it whenever you like. This takes effect immediately.

Hosting
The site is static files served by DigitalOcean App Platform. Like any web host, its servers process the requests they receive — IP address, timestamp, page requested, browser user agent — to deliver pages and guard against abuse. We do not have access to those logs and do not build any profile from them.
What we do not do
- No accounts, sign-ups, comments or newsletter. There is nowhere to give us your email address.
- No advertising, no ad networks, no remarketing, no cross-site tracking.
- No selling or sharing of data with anyone.
- No embedded fonts, trackers or social widgets from third parties. Fonts are served from this domain.
Articles link out to other sites, including bluemail.me and app stores. Once you follow a link, that site's own policy applies.
Your rights
If you are in the EEA or the UK you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and to complain to your national data protection authority. In practice we hold no data that identifies you: the analytics data is pseudonymous and we cannot connect it to a person, so the most useful control is the switch above.

Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of the page changes with it, and anyone who has already answered the banner will be asked again where the change requires it.
